Each week there is usually an attendance of thirty or more families, with children ranging in age from the very newborn to four or five years.  Time at mainly music allows the older children an opportunity for social interaction and provides mothers and others with a chance to relax and converse while the little ones are busy. Members of the mainly music support team are to hand to assist with watching children, reading stories, fetching a cup of tea or just for a chat.

All are welcome, there is no waiting list and no entry requirement. A donation of $3 per family is requested.  mainly music is part of the work of the church in loving our neighbours and serving each other for Christ’s sake.  Music of a Christian nature is included in every session but this is not a church service nor is affiliation with a Christian church group expected or required of those who wish to attend.

The present co-ordinator for mainly music at St Mary’s is Kathryn Hayhoe, on 03 693 9691.

mainly music is a national organisation of which we are the Geraldine franchisee. The mainly music web site can be found at http://mainlymusic.org.nz/
